As the majority of the staff are in their twenties and thirties, our task was to design a home from home, and a place where they can work, relax and interact after work with various social activities.

During their time at Scott Brownrigg, the Artelior team was hired to design office space for American software company DevLogic in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

DevLogic were seeking to offer their staff a comfortable working environment, not dissimilar to a number of American ICT and software corporations. As the majority of the staff are in their twenties and thirties, our task was to design a home from home, and a place where they can work, relax and interact after work with various social activities. Our approach was to create an open plan office with a cafe-like atmosphere, featuring a bar and kitchen, dining area, cosy TV lounge and a terrace.

Taking into consideration the necessity of creating an environment that helps release stress and allows staff to take regular short breaks from work, whilst nurturing a creative atmosphere, the library and playroom were integrated into the lounge, creating elements of fun and relaxation. Alongside bookshelves, a TV with a playstation and a football table was added. Vibrant colours were used throughout the scheme, set against stripped concrete and raft ceilings while inspiration for the carpets was drawn from traditional Bosnian folklore patterns. Decorative finishes reference London and Amsterdam where DevLogic also have offices.
